As we welcome the New Year, the Organisation of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU) extends its warmest wishes to all workers, trade union leaders, affiliates, and partners across Africa and the world at large.

The New Year offers an opportunity for reflection, and renewed commitment to the values that unite us: solidarity, decent work, social justice, and equity. In the year ahead, OATUU reaffirms its dedication to defending workers’ rights, strengthening trade union unity, and advancing decent work and social protection for all.

We acknowledge the resilience and determination of workers who continue to face economic, social, and political challenges, and we salute the unwavering efforts of trade unions in advocating for fair wages, safe working conditions, and inclusive development.

May the New Year bring peace, progress, and strengthened cooperation among workers. Together, through collective action and unity, we will continue to build a just and prosperous future for Africa.
