The Organisation of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU) has expressed its condolences over the killing of at least 100 civilians in Burkina Faso, following a terrorist attack in the region. Last week Friday, a group of terrorists attacked the village of Solhan in the northern part of Burkina Faso and set fire to houses and a market in the area. The incident has left many devastated and prompted three days of national mourning from the 5th to the 7th of June, 2021. In a statement released by OATUU on the 8th of June, 2021, the organisation condemned the attack and expressed its solidarity with the workers and people of Burkina Faso, especially family members of the victims.
