The former Secretary-General of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT), Abdeslam Jrad has passed away today, the 31st of May, 2021, at the age of 84, according to a source at within UGTT.
The deceased was born in 1937 in Kerkennah and was elected Secretary-General of the UGTT in 2002. He was also elected Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Maghreb Workers (USTMA). He left the leadership of the UGTT in 2011.
