The Organization of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU) has been deeply saddened to learn of the arrest of Japhet Moyo, the Secretary General of Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Union (ZCTU) upon his arrival from China following a strike call that preceded the recent severe demonstrations in the country.

OATUU condemns this act and calls on the government to release the Secretary General.
