OATUU Secretary-General, Mr. Arezki Mezhoud participated in the 50th Anniversary celebration of the HAK-İŞ Confederation, held from 21st to 24th October, 2025, in Ankara.

The milestone event marked five decades of HAK-İŞ’s remarkable contribution to the trade union movement in Türkiye and beyond. It brought together prominent leaders, policymakers, and representatives from international labor organisations to reflect on the Confederation’s achievements and reaffirm its commitment to advancing workers’ rights and social justice.

In his capacity as Secretary-General, Mr. Mezhoud conveyed OATUU’s warm congratulations to HAK-İŞ President Mr. Mahmut Arslan, the leadership, and members for their enduring legacy of advocacy and solidarity. He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between African and Turkish trade unions to promote decent work, sustainable development, and stronger partnerships within the global labor movement.
