President of the Kwame Nkrumah Pan-African Center and daughter of the late Kwame Nkrumah, Samia Nkrumah, has paid a visit to the Organisation of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU) headquarters in Accra, Ghana. In an exchange with OATUU, she highlighted the instrumentality of the trade union movement in the fight for independence and freedom on the African continent. However, she emphasised that the translation of this freedom into economic emancipation and self-reliance was yet to be seen. She therefore, called on leaders and workers associated with the trade union movement to mobilise themselves in the fight for this cause.
