The Organisation of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU) is calling on the Head of the United Nations Mission in Sudan, Mr. Volker Perthes to include the Sudanese Workers Trade Union Federation (SWTUF) in consultations being organised with the aim of solving the Sudanese political crisis.

For months now, Sudan has been embroiled in a political crisis which has stalled trade union affairs and plunged workers into a state of confusion and disarray.

Following these developments, Mr. Perthes revealed plans to launch consultations which would hinge on comprehensive dialogue between all stakeholders in Sudan, with the purpose of tackling the Sudanese crisis.
