The Organisation of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU) has released a statement condemning the violence being meted out against Palestinians by the Israeli occupation state. This follows violent clashes at the Al Aqsa mosque complex on the 7th of May, 2021, after thousands of people congregated to observe the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Owing to this recent escalation of events, the organisation is calling on the international community to “act to end these recurring violations and attacks against Palestinians and stop the policy of evacuation, which expels them from their land, as well as expropriates them of it”.
