The Organisation of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU) has organised a women’s day celebration in light of International Women’s Day to recognise the contribution of women to development and highlight their struggle for equality. The celebration took place at its headquarters in Accra, Ghana and was attended by all the female staff of the organisation, In a brief address, the Secretary-General, Mr. Arezki Mezhoud congratulated the women for their contribution to OATUU and encouraged them to maximise every opportunity and resource in order to bridge the gender inequality gap and promote development in Africa. The staff were presented with tokens of appreciation.
