The 12th Congress of the Organisation of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU) is set to take place in Algiers, Algeria, from the 16th to the 19th of November, 2023. This annual event will bring together the various affiliates of the organisation, as well as other key stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions that will chart the future course of African labor movements.

This year’s congress will be held at the Centre International de Conférences under the theme ‘Strengthening the Role of Trade Unions to Face Change in Work and New Challenges in Africa’. This will pave the way for conversations surrounding the changes in the world of work and the capacity of African unions to tackle these challenges to promote development on the continent.
