The Organisation of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU) has received a delegation from the Solidarity Center for Africa. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the organisation on the 12th of October, 2021. The delegation, which consisted of the West-African Director of the Solidarity Center, Mr. Sonny Ogbuehi, a colleague from their Liberian office, Sister Deddeh and the Executive Secretary of OTUWA, Mr. John Odah, was introduced to OATUU and its mode of operation.
The theme of cooperation between the Solidarity Center for Africa and OATUU ran through the meeting, with both sides focused on developing ideas that would promote the labour movement and further encourage the protection of workers’ right in Africa. The discussion also touched specifically on the trade union situation in Liberia and ended with both organisations resolving to support the dialogue process in the country.
The meeting ended with a tour of the OATUU Secretariat.
