The Organisation of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU) will hold its 47th General Council meeting from 3 to 4 November 2026 in Accra, Ghana, bringing together trade union leaders and representatives across Africa.

The General Council is a statutory meeting convened annually to evaluate the activities of OATUU’s Executive Committee and discuss, examine and deliberate on relevant issues concerning the organisation and the wider African trade union movement.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for the General Council to review the organisation’s activities, consider key developments affecting workers and deliberate on matters relevant to advancing the interests of African workers and strengthening trade union unity across the continent.
