The Secretary-General of the Organisation of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU), Mr. Arezki Mezhoud, recently met with the Egyptian Minister of Labour, Mohamed Gibran to deliberate on key issues related to labour and employment.

The meeting centered on fostering cooperation in addressing employment challenges, promoting decent work, and strengthening workers’ rights across the continent.

Mr. Mezhoud reaffirmed OATUU’s commitment to advancing the interests of African workers through strategic partnerships and policy advocacy. The Minister of Labour also underscored Egypt’s readiness to collaborate with OATUU in implementing initiatives that contribute to the continent’s socio-economic growth.
