The 43rd session of the General Council of the Organisation of African Trade Unity (OATUU) has begun in Cairo, Egypt at the Tolip Golden Plaza Hotel. Various participants from all across Africa, as well as observers from regional and international organisations have congregated to tackle the theme of this year’s conference, ‘Social Protection for Lasting and Inclusive Development in Africa is Attainable’.

The General Council meeting will follow a 2-day joint conference between OATUU and ACTRAV on social protection and related issues.
