The Secretary General of OATUU, Arezki MEZHOUD handed over to the Secretary General of TUC Ghana and Vice President of OATUU, Anthony Yaw Bah, a package of medical supplies during the proceedings of the General Council held on 06 August 2020 at the Mensevik Hotel in Accra as a symbol of solidarity to Ghanaian workers.

It is worth recalling that this medical equipment is a donation from the All-China Federation of Trade Unions for the benefit of African workers, as part of the cooperation and solidarity between OATUU and the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU).

Welcoming the Secretary General of OATUU, Brother Anthony Yaw Bah warmly thanked OATUU and the All-China Federation of Trade Unions for this act of solidarity and support towards Ghanaian workers, especially at this time of health crisis. He pointed out that in the past, ACFTU China comrades have assisted their Ghanaian comrades through other donations.

Invited to take the floor, the Secretary General of OATUU warmly thanked the Trade Union Confederation of Ghana (TUC-Ghana) for their warm welcome. He also expressed his appreciation for their renewed support to OATUU and African workers. He told the audience that the medical equipment was a donation from ACFTU China as a sign of support and solidarity to African trade unions and workers in the fight against COVID 19.
