OATUU participates in 344th Session of ILO Governing Body

Secretary-General of the Organisation of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU), Mr. Arezki Mezhoud is taking part in the 344th session of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Governing Body in Geneva, Switzerland. The session, which is being held to take a look at key issues affecting the world of work, began on the 14th of March and will end on the 26th of March 2022.


Aside numerous discussions on a variety of labour issues, one of the important activities on the agenda is the election of a new Director-General who will take over from current Director-General, Guy Ryder. Candidates vying for the post include; Mthunzi Mdwaba (South Africa), Gilbert Houngbo (Togo), Greg Vines (Australia), Kang Kyung-wha (Korea) and Muriel Pénicaud (France).
