OATUU Participates in Opening of 114th Session of International Labour Conference

A delegation of the Organisation of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU), led by its Secretary General, Mr. Arezki Mezhoud, took part in the opening ceremony of the 114th Session of the International Labour Conference (ILC) at the headquarters of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Geneva.

The Conference brings together representatives of governments, employers and workers from the ILO Member States to discuss key challenges facing the world of work, including the impact of artificial intelligence, the protection of platform workers, and issues related to social justice.

On this occasion, OATUU reaffirmed its commitment to defending the rights and interests of African workers and to ensuring that the voice of the African trade union movement is heard in international discussions on the future of work, social dialogue and decent work.

The OATUU delegation will actively participate in the Conference proceedings as well as in various trade union consultations and meetings taking place alongside this important international event.
